When we were joined by Lorne Cardinal he told us he was working with Fred Ewanuick on a new web series called “Going For Broke”.

Lorne put us in touch with  Fred (via a tweet) so I immediately asked for an interview… and he was gracious enough to say yes.

Fred played Hank Yarbo on Corner Gas which is his first major role and the one we knew him best from.  But he is a very active actor and has played many other roles.

We had already seen him in “Robson Arms” and the first season of “Dan For Mayor” (the second isn’t available in the states) but were happily stunned by the awesomeness of a couple of his films we hadn’t seen; The Delicate art of Parking and the strangely appealing Young Triffie’s Been Made Away With.

In short, this was a blast to record and I could not be happier with this interview.

We ended up not covering his newest movie “Patterson’s Wager” as much as we would have liked.  So we will have O. Corbin Salaken (Writer and director of Patterson’s Wager) on next week.

Filmography (a short version anyway)
